GSMA Mobile Expo in Barcelona – Cost Reduction by Gamatronic
Gamatronic received a warm welcome from leading telecom executives and integrators at the Gamatronic booth in Barcelona. The Gamatronic 1UDC rectifier power system team stressed the benefits of utilizing systems with up to 96% efficiency, redundancy, small footprint, and modularity for base transceiver stations (BTSs), line terminating equipment (LTE), wireless microwave access (Wimax) and even hybrid solutions. The likes of Beeline, Airtel, Vodafone, ZTE, Alcatel Lucent, T-Mobile, and many others spent extra time at the booth learning about the advantages and expressed an interest in knowing more. In the photograph, a Gamatronic representative is being interviewed by one of the leading financial media firms.

The MCGM data center is one of the largest data centers in Mumbai, India. Since the application is hyper-critical and requires 24 x 7 operation, the client sought a guaranteed power solution for this project. All critical IBM servers, networking equipment, access control systems, emergency lights, and security systems are connected to the Gamatronic Power+ with total load of 800 kVA.
From Ador (Gamatronic's distributor in India): Gamatronic offers a true modular, online UPS solution that meets all the power requirements of its clients. The Power+ product was selected based on its important and unique product features including built-in redundancy, hot swappable modules, green power specifications, small footprint, low heat dissipation, highest overall efficiency, and a versatile management and control solution.

Power+ Classic units with internal 32x40 Ah batteries are expected to be installed in three different nuclear power plants within the next few months. This project was granted to Gamatronic ESD (Exclusive Stocking Distributor) in Georgia for their 24/7 technology.
Gamatronic UPSs will back up motor-driven bollards that SecureUSA (http://www.secureusa.net/) supplies as part of their perimeter defense systems for critical and sensitive installations around the world.
Because the application requires the UPS to feed both 3-phase and single phase motors, Gamatronic's ability to customize the Power was a critical factor in the customer's choice. In addition, the Gamatronic unit is the only one that could be configured for the large, single phase motors requiring 45 kVA.
In order to eliminate inrush currents from motor start-up, Siemens VFD’s will be used between the UPS and the motors for the bollards. When tested, the UPSs performed flawlessly and in accordance with all technical specifications.

Gamatronic's partner in South Africa recently took on a large project for the
400 kVA Power+ Classic UPS. This was the first time that the large parastatal organization CSIR (Council for Scientific and Industrial Research) had made use of modular technology. The project was put together in less than 1.5 months from the purchasing date. This was not an easy target considering the size of the project.
The product was manufactured in a very short time, thanks to Gamatronic Israel and their production team. Two tons of equipment was air-freighted over the festive season to ensure speedy delivery.
The CSIR personnel were responsible for the rollout of the project. They have received training on use of the power system and are very satisfied with the final outcome of the project.
